At Horizons SHU, we know lasting change happens when we work together. Through our community partnerships, more than 300 Bridgeport students each year have access to high-quality recreational programming that expands their opportunities, sparks joy and supports their growth beyond the classroom. Our partnership with Sacred Heart University (SHU) anchors our work. Rooted in shared values and a strong institutional connection, this collaboration provides access to state-of-the-art facilities, partnerships with SHU Athletics and the Farrington College of Education & Human Development, support from the Center for Teaching and Learning, dedicated student mentors, and long-term sustainability.
